Uji has been famous for its superior quality tea for hundreds of years. The hill country of Uji along the Uji River provides ideal terroir for matcha production.

All matchas are hand selected and ground in small batches. Testing is performed to confirm safety of our matcha - our matcha is always free of radiation, lead, and pesticide contamination of any sort.

Traditional Matcha Tea Preparation

Matcha is used in Japanese tea ceremonies where it is prepared hot, using a bamboo whisk. It'swhisked in hot water and sipped from a matcha bowl.

A serving size

Sift 1 g. of matcha into a glass or ceramic bowl

175 °F water

Add 1 oz of 175°F water or not bolied water

Whisk

Whisk vigorously in a zig zag motion untill it is frothy
