Q: How long does 30 grams of matcha powder last? How many cups can be brewed?
A: 30 grams of the shop's matcha powder is equal to about 15 teaspoons
- Making hot tea for drinking, you will get 30 servings (use 1 gram or 1/2 teaspoon per 2-3 ounces of water)
- For an iced matcha latte in a 10 oz. glass, you generally should use 2 grams of matcha powder and will thus get 15 lattes

Q: What are the different grades of matcha powder?
A: Each grade of our matcha powder differs in the quality of the green tea leaves that are used to grind into matcha powder, resulting in different colors, smells, and flavors. With higher grades, the color is greener, the aroma more fragrant, and the taste less bitter. Higher grades will taste softer and more delicious, but we want you to try it for yourself and form your own opinion. We recommend that you order a trial set to compare each grade of tea before making a larger purchase.
---------------------------------------------------------Q: I want to make a matcha latte. What grade of matcha powder do you use?
A: If you like matcha which is very aromatic, rich, sweet and soft, I recommend Super premium ceremonial grade .
But if you like matcha that is not very bitter, soft, intense and beautiful color, I recommend Premium Ceremonial grade.

Q: I want to use matcha in baking. What grade of matcha powder do you use?
A: If it's baked goods such as cakes, cookies, brownies, is recommended AMAI ( not available now) - ours is different from other Culinary Matchas on the market - AMAI is slightly bitter and the color is not yellow.
For ice cream, mousse cake, cream or cheesecake that doesn't need bitter taste, it is recommended to be premium Ceremonial or Super premium Ceremonial , which has a more distinct matcha flavor and aroma than AMAI.
---------------------------------------------------------Q:How long can matcha powder be stored?
A: If stored well, matcha powder will maintain its quality for about 1 year or longer. After opening the bag, it should be used within 4 months. The matcha powder will not spoil but the quality will start to deteriorate over time. The color of the tea will begin to fade, the smell will become less fragrant and the taste will begin to change, becoming less distinctive.
---------------------------------------------------------Q: How to dissolve matcha powder
A: The recommended method is to sift the matcha powder for breaking clumps , pour in water and then use a bamboo brush (Japanese chasen) or electric milk frother.
---------------------------------------------------------Q: How to store matcha powder
A: Matcha powder is very sensitive to heat, light, air (oxygen) and humidity. To keep the matcha fresh for as long as possible We therefore recommend the following:
-
- Refrigerate in the supplied aluminum foil bag. For long-term storage (over 4 months), use the freezer.
- Before opening, let it sit at room temperature for 30 mins to prevent moisture.
- After use, expel air and zip firmly to avoid moisture and odors.
- Shield from light—no sunlight or room light. Avoid jars; opt for opaque containers.
